Job summary

Simmons Bank is seeking an Information Security Engineer II to design, implement, and maintain security solutions across identity, email, network, and data protection. You will manage day-to-day operations, mentor Level I engineers, and support incident response with limited supervision.

The role emphasizes participation in change management, cross-functional collaboration, and ongoing professional development in IT security disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in information technology, network engineering, or security engineering (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
• Direct experience administering security systems such as endpoint protection, network access control, web content filtering, data loss prevention, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls (required).
• Certifications: CompTIA A+, Security+, Network+ (required); CISSP/SSCP/CEH (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Contributes to design and implementation of security systems and security controls.
• Configures, maintains, and monitors security systems including secure email gateway, firewall, VPN, and SIEM.
• Supports Level I engineers and handles security incidents per procedures.
• Participates in change management and coordinates with vendors and services teams.
