Job summary

Google is seeking a Security Engineer within the Hybrid Cloud Environments (HCE) organization to help protect networks and systems, design secure architectures, and collaborate with product and security teams on addressing vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1 year coding in one or more general languages.
• At least 1 year security assessments, design reviews, or threat modeling.
• Experience in security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Complete scoped engineering tasks and improve code and security tools with minimal supervision.
• Perform risk assessments and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
• Use agentic development tools and AI assistants to accelerate tasks.
• Implement features and security hardening for autonomous agents and guardrails.
