Job summary

First Community Credit Union is seeking a Security Engineer I to join our Copperfield headquarters in Northwest Houston. The role focuses on leading information security strategies, designing and implementing firewalls, IPS, and web app security, and supporting multi-site core network components.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in CS or IS with relevant certifications and 3–5 years of related experience, with Palo Alto experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience with industry certifications (Network+, Security+, PCNSA, PCNSE).
• 3–5 years of security engineering experience with firewall, IPS, and cloud security.
• Experience with Palo Alto platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead information security strategies for the credit union.
• Design and implement firewall, IPS, and web app security infrastructure.
• Support multi-site core network components and security operations.
• Administer data security products, detect/report/investigate incidents, and manage network defenses including cloud services and DLP.

Job description

First Community Credit Union is looking for a Security Engineer I, based out of our Copperfield headquarters in Northwest Houston. Duties will include leading information security strategies, maintain, design and implement firewalls, IPS and web application security infrastructure within the credit union and will support multi-site core network components. Will administer data security products and techniques for detecting, reporting and investigating incidents including set up, configuring, securing and maintaining network firewalls, detection systems, cloud services, DLP, etc.

Candidates must have a bachelor's in CS, IS or equivalent work experience and industry recognized certifications (Network+,Security+, PCNSA, PCNSE, CISSP is a plus), 3-5 years of similar experience. Experience with Palo Alto is desired.
