Job summary

First Community Credit Union is seeking a Security Engineer I in Houston, TX to lead information security strategies and design, implement and maintain firewalls, IPS, and web application security across multi-site operations.

You will work with Palo Alto equipment, cloud services, and DLP tools; a Bachelor’s in CS/IS and 3–5 years of experience, plus certs like Network+ or CISSP, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience and industry recognized certifications (Network+, Security+, PCNSA, PCNSE, CISSP a plus)
• Three to five years of similar or related experience
• Experience with Palo Alto is desired

Responsibilities

Description

First Community Credit Union is looking for a Security Engineer I, based out of our Copperfield headquarters in Northwest Houston. Duties will include leading information security strategies, maintain, design and implement firewalls, IPS and web application security infrastructure within the credit union and will support multi-site core network components. Will administer data security products and techniques for detecting, reporting and investigating incidents including set up, configuring, securing and maintaining network firewalls, detection systems, cloud services, DLP, etc.

Candidates must have a bachelor's in CS, IS or equivalent work experience and industry recognized certifications (Network+,Security+, PCNSA, PCNSE, CISSP is a plus), 3-5 years of similar experience. Experience with Palo Alto is desired.
