Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls that protect corporate infrastructure, user devices, enterprise applications, and network communications.

You will partner closely with IT and engineering teams to identify risks and ship tailored solutions that keep users secure without introducing unnecessary friction, directly protecting Coinbase's most sensitive data and critical assets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in security engineering in an enterprise setting.
• 2+ years securing macOS or similar endpoints in enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to write production code (services/integrations/automations) for security.
• Experience shipping security projects end-to-end with minimal direction.
• Familiarity with endpoint security products (e.g., Cloudflare, Prisma Access, Zscaler).
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions to harden endpoints and protect corporate infrastructure.
• Perform security reviews on enterprise systems and software enabling user productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to integrate endpoint and SaaS security into broader initiatives.
• Identify and close data exfiltration paths from local AI agents and tooling on endpoints.
• Provide technical guidance and code review support to engineers to raise the security bar.
