Job summary

Weather Group Television LLC is seeking a Security Engineer to design, deliver, and maintain security solutions across On-Premise, Hybrid, and Cloud environments. You will implement security technologies, perform hardening, and drive remediation in alignment with AMG standards.

The role requires collaboration across a global organization, fluent English, and the ability to work outside standard hours during project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 1+ years of information security experience.
• 3+ years in an IT engineering function.
• Strong knowledge of NIST/ISO frameworks and security fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Google Cloud services and hybrid/on-prem security.
• Experience writing scripts with Python, Ansible, PowerShell, and interacting with APIs.
• Fluent English communication (written and verbal).
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and help define engineering standards.
• Willingness to work outside regular hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Engineer security solutions and services in alignment with AMG standards for On-Premise, Hybrid, and Cloud environments.
• Implement and support security technologies with production support and documentation for network proxies, IDS/IPS, remote access, 2FA, and security monitoring.
• Perform infrastructure and system hardening, including patch deployment and vulnerability management.
• Own the design, delivery, and maintenance of new and existing security solutions or services, supporting compliance and standards.
• Apply security frameworks and guidelines to guide solution delivery and drive remediation of risks.
• Identify opportunities to optimize security processes and pursue automation where possible.
• Coordinate and drive remediation of identified risks and control deficiencies.
• Collaborate across a global organization to build strong cross-group relationships.
• Provide flexibility for working outside regular office hours for team calls and project phases.
• Provide technical leadership within assigned projects; no direct supervision.
