Job summary

Panopto is seeking a Security Engineer to own the platform's security posture across its cloud-native services. You will partner with developers to bake security into features from day one and balance rigorous controls with rapid delivery.

You’ll lead incident response, automated scanning, and compliance efforts (ISO 27001, TX-RAMP) while mentoring engineers on secure coding practices and modern threat vectors for a remote-first, globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering or software development with a security focus.
• Experience implementing controls for ISO 27001 and TX-RAMP in production environments.
• Proficiency designing secure systems, threat modeling, and embedding security into the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design secure systems by partnering with engineering to bake in security from the first line of code.
• Drive proactive defense with automated scanning, penetration testing, and monitoring in AWS CI/CD pipelines.
• Own governance and compliance for ISO 27001 and TX-RAMP with actionable engineering standards.
• Lead incident response, investigations, and root-cause analyses to reduce security debt.
• Mentor the team on secure coding practices and threat-awareness across engineering teams.
