AegisAI, Inc. is seeking a Security Engineer to accelerate our security program. You will build the systems for scanning, vulnerability management, posture and identity controls across our cloud estate, and the guardrails in our pipelines that stop problems before they ship.

This is a building role; you will work directly with engineering and DevOps teams and with the head of security, owning real surface from week one as the scope grows with your impact.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in security engineering or infra with security ownership
• Experience writing code (Python/Go) and building guardrails
• Deep knowledge of cloud IAM and Kubernetes security
• Fluent in securing CI/CD pipelines and production systems

Responsibilities

• Own vulnerability management across code, dependencies, images, cloud config and external surface; automate triage and remediation.
• Define and expand CI/CD security gates to block vulnerable dependencies and misconfigurations.
• Define secure baselines for cloud estate; detect drift and automate remediation.
• Drive least privilege and zero trust across systems, credentials and workloads.
• Lead design reviews, threat modeling for new features and products.
• Partner with DevOps on secure-by-default paths for CI/CD, logging and auth.
• Lead incident response; build tooling to speed up investigations.
• Automate repetitive security tasks to reduce manual effort.
