Job summary

Hadrian is building autonomous factories to accelerate aerospace and defense manufacturing. The Security Engineer will own security across the stack, spanning application code, cloud, Kubernetes, and OT on the factory floor, shaping the transition to Factory-as-a-Service.

You will join as a founding member of a growing security team, establishing standards and guardrails to scale security from the ground up, and delivering practical controls that survive audits and incidents.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in security engineering, software engineering, or infrastructure/platform engineering, with real hands-on security ownership somewhere in there.
• Fluency with agentic systems; familiarity with agentic loops and task delegation—building with or on LLM agents and automation
• You move fast and learn faster; you take an under-specified mission and ramp on something unfamiliar quickly
• Genuine breadth and curiosity across application security, cloud/Kubernetes security, identity/authorization, and networking

Responsibilities

• Own security end-to-end across the whole stack — application code, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes workloads, identity and authorization, and the factory-floor and OT systems.
• Scale security through automation with guardrails, CI/CD checks, SDKs, and patterns to reduce headcount dependency.
• Map unfamiliar manufacturing systems and design controls that fit the Hadrian approach and risk profile.
• Turn compliance requirements (CMMC 2.0 / NIST 800-171 and ITAR boundary) into engineering controls evaluated under audit.
• Investigate, contain, and drive incidents to resolution, then implement systemic fixes.
