Job summary

Bot Auto is hiring a Software Engineer, Security Engineering to help secure its autonomous trucking stack from vehicle to cloud. You will implement security controls for in-vehicle systems and protect our AI-enabled software, while collaborating with teams across infrastructure, platform, and autonomy engineering to reduce risk and strengthen the SSDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 0-2 years of software engineering or security engineering experience.
• Foundational understanding of authentication and authorization, networking, operating systems, and common software security vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with Linux and cloud or distributed systems; interest in securing production environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security controls for onboard systems (secure boot, code signing, secrets management, OTA updates).
• Support security across infrastructure and platforms (Kubernetes, AWS, on-prem, CI/CD).
• Evaluate protections for AI systems (prompt injection, data exfiltration, model risk).
• Build IAM, secrets management, and least-privilege for services/devices/fleet.
