As a Security Engineer - Automation, you will be a core part of our Security Operations Centre (SOC) team. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and configuring our Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) platform which will assist client environments to detect, prevent, and respond to security incidents. As a Security Automation Engineer, you will assist various internal SOC teams with deploying and configuration of our SOAR platform into client environments, furthermore you will be required to develop custom workbooks to complete client internal requirements.

YOUR ROLE

Working from either our Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra or Brisbane offices, your role will include:

  • Configuration and management of internal Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) platform
  • Ensure that code repositories are well - organized, efficient and documented
  • Implement and enforce coding standards and best practices to maintain code quality
  • Manage triage, response, and escalations of client automation and response requests
  • Assist with the maintenance of Tesserent SOC deployed technologies within client environments
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the SOC team to continually improve our security monitoring and response capabilities
  • Create, follow, and maintain internal SOC documentation
  • Continually update skills and knowledge relative to the ever - changing threat landscape

YOUR EXPERIENCE

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Proficiency to develop and maintain automation scripts and tools
  • Experience in CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Experience with Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) platforms (FortiSOAR , Sentinel , Google Chronicle desired)
  • Knowledge of SIEM, EDR and other Security platforms
  • Support and troubleshoot Linux servers,
  • Maintain knowledge of industry insights and proactively research emerging security risks, controls, best practices, and trends.
