Job summary

Meta is seeking a Security Engineer on the Scaling – Vulnerability Management team in Honolulu, Hawaii. You will design ML-based systems to automate vulnerability identification, triage, and remediation across Meta's codebase, building autonomous remediation pipelines and AI agents that surface risk at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Info Security, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years securing enterprise-scale infrastructure software and services.
• 3–5+ years programming in Python, PHP, Ruby, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience remediating security gaps across large orgs using influence.
• Experience with security control automation or 'compliance as code'.
• Strong cross-functional communication to influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-powered autonomous remediation pipelines for third-party vulnerabilities.
• Develop ML-driven triage and contextualization agents (Viper Assist, FixieAI) for risk ranking.
• Architect supply-chain defense systems with time-locked mirrors and metadata services.
• Drive cross-functional security, infra, and product engineering strategies at scale.
• Own ambiguous, technically complex workstreams and enable others to execute.
