Job summary

ClarkDietrich in West Chester, OH is seeking a Security Engineer to design, implement, and operate security controls across identity, endpoints, networks, cloud services, data, and AI-enabled systems. You will partner with infrastructure, application, data, privacy, and business teams to reduce cyber risk and enable responsible technology use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
• Five or more years of progressive IT or cybersecurity experience.
• Demonstrated experience securing multiple domains (cloud, identity, endpoints, networks, applications, SaaS, data, or AI-enabled systems).
• Strong knowledge of IAM, authentication, network/web security, logging, vulnerability management, and secure configurations.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, cloud-security or posture-management tooling, and investigation using telemetry.
• Ability to automate tasks with PowerShell, Python, APIs, or IaC.
• Knowledge of AI and generative-AI architecture in security contexts.
• Experience applying threat modeling and secure-development practices.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate security controls across identity, endpoints, networks, cloud, data, and AI systems.
• Implement MFA, Conditional Access, least privilege, privileged-access management, and access reviews.
• Assess cloud configurations, containers, and CI/CD pipelines for security.
• Identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations; coordinate remediation with asset owners.
• Perform architecture reviews and threat modeling for new systems and vendors.
• Lead or support detection, incident response, and resilience activities.
• Develop automation, queries, and playbooks to improve investigation speed and visibility.
• Support governance and collaboration across teams and audits.
