Job summary

Lantern Hill by Erickson Senior Living in New Providence, NJ seeks a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) to implement our security and emergency programs and provide outreach within the community. You will patrol the property, support gatehouse staffing, and respond to calls, with duties expanding to traffic enforcement and incident reporting in a gated retirement community.

Eligible candidates are 18+, hold a valid driver’s license, CPR for Healthcare Providers and EMR

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred.
• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification; EMR cert within 30 days if not present.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service.
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations.
• Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic interventions.
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism or other potential crime.
• Coordinate with local police, fire and EMS during emergencies.
• Complete incident reports using the online system.
