Job summary

Eagle’s Trace by Erickson Senior Living, located in West Houston, seeks a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) to implement security and emergency programs across a gated retirement community. The role includes patrols, gate relief, emergency responses, and reporting within a senior living campus.

The position is full-time with shifts from 7am to 7pm. A valid driver’s license, EMR/EMT credentials, CPR certification, and prior security or EMS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Security experience and EMT/EMR background are required or preferred.
• CPR for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Experience in emergency response and incident reporting is valued.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the property and guard the gatehouse.
• Respond to medical emergencies with basic care per EMS protocols.
• Enforce traffic and parking regulations across the property.
• Document incidents thoroughly in the online reporting system.
• Coordinate with local police, fire, and EMS during emergencies.

Join our team as a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) at our gated retirement community. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing our Security and Emergency Services programs and providing outreach within the community.

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience, starting at $17 / hr

Available Shifts:

• - Full-Time, 7am-7pm

How you will make an impact

• Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations
• Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing all basic interventions
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity
• Utilize local police, fire, and EMS; effectively during emergencies.
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using our online report system

What you will need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred
• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification. (Higher level certification/licensure is acceptable as a condition of hire, however, new hires will be required to obtain EMR certification within 30 days).
