Job summary

CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients. The Security Electronics Technician is responsible for all electronic systems and computerized controls for the facility, including locking systems, fire alarms, intercom/PA, CCTV, nurse-call, and related security systems.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 4-6 years of security electronics experience in commercial environments preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Provide outstanding customer service to meet client needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures preventive maintenance schedules are executed on time per manufacturer specifications or client requirements.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as work order documentation and general record keeping; learn facility layout and locations of installed equipment.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of CMMS, preventive maintenance schedules, warranty status, and inventory for parts.
  • Maintain professional relationship with client staff and serve as technical advisor during meetings and presentations.
  • Demonstrate ability to use electronic test equipment and inspect building security and electronic systems.
  • Read blueprints and schematics; perform preventive and corrective electronics maintenance work orders.
  • Ensure all work conforms to contractual, quality, and OSHA standards; maintain clean and safe workplace.
  • Complete required compliance, safety, and developmental training; may mentor and train other technicians.
  • Document all activities in CMMS as required.
  • May take on duties outside usual Security Electronics tasks.

CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients.

A Brief Overview

CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients. The Security Electronics Technician is responsible for all electronic systems and computerized controls for the facility, which include locking systems, fire alarm systems, intercom/public address system, closed circuit TV, nurse-call, and other security related systems. Employees in this position will be assigned to the Lawrenceville Correctional Center in Lawrenceville, VA.

What You Will Do
  • Ensures that all preventive maintenance schedules are executed on a timely basis per manufacturers' specifications or client requirements.
  • Perform required administrative tasks pertaining to the position, such as work order documentation and general record keeping. Must become familiar with the design and layout of the facility. Learn locations of installed base of electronic equipment and systems. Obtain understanding of correctional operations and security procedures as they relate to electronic systems in the facility.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of a computerized maintenance management database (CMMS), preventive maintenance schedules, warranty status, and inventory for spare parts, materials, and supplies.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with client staff, answer questions, provide solutions and make recommendations. May be asked to serve as a technical advisor during client meetings and presentations.
  • Exhibit the ability to perform work and display the effective use of electronic test equipment.
  • Make competent inspections of the building security and electronic systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to smoke detectors and related control systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Responsible for preventive and corrective electronics maintenance work orders.
  • All work performed must conform to standards per the contractual agreements with the client, as well as standards for quality and accuracy and all OSHA codes and regulations.
  • Must maintain a clean and safe workplace while and after performing maintenance tasks.
  • Complete all required compliance, safety and developmental training as assigned.
  • May be required to provide training technicians in unlike skillset some basics of your trade provide mentorship, oversight and direction.
  • Complete all documentation required in compliance with CGL's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • May be assigned duties outside usual Security Electronic tasks.

Compensation

We are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The hiring range for this position is generally between $27.98 to $35.81, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the general Hiring Range for the role. Hiring at the top of the range is reserved for exceptionally qualified candidates. We consider internal and external factors as a part of every final offer. We also offer a generous total compensation and benefits package.
