Job summary

Penn State Health – St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA, seeks a Security Dispatcher to operate the security operations center, manage CAD and incident reporting, and coordinate radio communications.

Under the Security Manager’s supervision, you monitor access control, life safety systems, cameras, and assist patients and staff while maintaining safety and readiness across the facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Minimum 1 year of dispatching experience.
• Experience in security, law enforcement, or healthcare settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the security operations center as the primary dispatcher.
• Utilize CAD and incident reporting applications for calls and incidents.
• Monitor access control, radios, vehicles and life safety equipment.
• Assist customers and staff while maintaining safety standards.
• Report safety issues to the Security Manager.
