Job summary

Hendrick Health in Abilene, TX, seeks a Security Dispatcher under the Security Manager to guide responses to emergency and non‑emergency calls and dispatch officers across facilities.

You will monitor CCTV, coordinate with multiple agencies, and ensure clear, confidential communication as situations evolve. Proficiency with Word, Excel, and CAD is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to deal effectively with community, patients, hospital personnel.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Requires extreme diplomacy and tact.
• Ability to collect information on calls for service and relay to Security officers.
• Operate security electronic equipment including CCTV and access control.

Job Summary

Under the general guidance of the Security Manager, receives and evaluates incoming emergency and non-emergency calls to Hendrick Security and dispatches Security officers to various locations within Hendrick Health properties. Coordinates communication between multiple agencies and departments. Monitors all surveillance cameras, remaining vigilant to developing situations that may require intervention, and directing officers accordingly.
