Job summary

Legends Global in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a part-time dispatcher to monitor security systems and help maintain a safe environment during events.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, prior security experience preferred, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities include securing property, locking/unlocking doors, performing routine walks, monitoring cameras, filing incident reports, and coordinating with management.

• Monitor security systems and cameras.
• Notifies appropriate members of management or emergency systems when necessary.
• Completes incident reports and logs as required.
• Responds immediately to emergency situations – answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Keep a record of all keys and equipment that are signed out.
• Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

THE ROLE

The part‑time dispatcher position is responsible for monitoring our security systems and ensuring the safety of the building at all times.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or GED
• One year of security experience in a similar environment is preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising judgment, initiative, and problem solving.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff, including management.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work irregular hours including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
• Knowledge of computers and Microsoft suite.
• Will be subject to acceptable background check.
• Regular, reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
