Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (FINRA) seeks a Senior Security Engineer to own the design, operation, and scaling of the security data pipeline that feeds the SIEM and to drive automation for a Zero Trust access platform.

This hands‑on role requires expertise in networking, data pipelines, and cloud/on‑prem integration. You'll lead observability, manage Cribl Stream, design cloud-native data collection across AWS/Azure/GCP, and collaborate across SIEM, detection, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in securities/financial services industry or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience
• Experience with data analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Dataiku) and regulatory context
• Strong ability to translate data delivery issues into durable solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and cross-team collaboration

Responsibilities

• Own observability/telemetry pipeline platform (primary focus)
• Administer and engineer Cribl Stream: routes, pipelines, packs, sources and destinations
• Design and operate cloud-native data collection across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Ensure reliability and scale: queues, backpressure, autoscaling, load distribution
• Manage deployments and lifecycle of pipeline infrastructure
• Lead adoption of Splunk Edge Processor and SPL2 pipelines
• Support and automate Zero Trust access platform and Just‑in‑Time access workflows
• Document architectures and decisions; partner with SIEM, detection and infrastructure teams
