Job description

Security Cooperation Logistics and Transportation Plan Analyst

The Opportunity:
Are you searching for a position where you can use your lifecycle logistics analysis skills to make a difference? A program requires a significant investment of limited resources across multiple projects, and with that level of complexity, we need a skilled logistician examining how those resources are used and keeping the program on the path to success. That’s why we need you, a Logistics and Transportation Plan Analyst who can ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication.

We have an opportunity for a Logistics and Transportation Plan Analyst to join our team as we support the U.S. Navy’s international initiatives to acquire, deliver, and sustain fully capable, interoperable, and operationally dominant partner nation combat and weapon systems. You’ll work with program leadership to monitor cost, schedule, and performance of multiple projects using tools like Defense Security Assistance Management System (DSAMS), Management Information System for International Logistics (MISIL), and regular interactions with our foreign partners. You will act as a liaison between various stakeholders, including contractors, military commands, and foreign customers, to facilitate FMS operations. We focus on growing as a team to deliver the best support to our customers, so you’ll have resources for mentoring and learning new skills and tools. This is a chance to directly impact DoD Security Cooperation initiatives while learning how to develop program strategy and eliminate risks across projects.

Join us and help make sure our programs stay on-time and within budget as we improve the capability and interoperability of our Partner Nations. You’ll work with program leadership to support lifecycle logistics elements and products through methods such as managing and maintaining aircraft configuration data, technical documentation, material staging, and material packaging handling storage and transportation (PHS&T).

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with DoD FMS logistics or acquisition logistics

  • Experience drafting Transportation Plans for FMS cases, and supporting equipment and coordinating shipments based on country specific details found in FMS case Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOAs)

  • Knowledge of DoD procedures and programs associated with FMS cases as specified in the Security Assistance Management Manual (SAMM), including FMS LOA and the processes for LOA, modification, and amendment development

  • Knowledge of FMS management and financial systems, including DSAMS, MISIL, SCIP, and CEPT

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working with US Navy logistics

  • Experience working with foreign clients

  • Knowledge of international laws and regulations

  • Ability to take initiative and multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision

  • Possession of excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management

  • Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) Basic or Intermediate Certification, including SC Planning, Oversight and Execution Management, SC Case Life Cycle Management, SC Execution Support Management, or SC Acquisition Management Certification

  • Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Logistics Certification

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
