Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking a Security Control Room Officer in Hillsboro, OR. The role involves protecting people and property, monitoring systems, and responding to emergencies from a control room setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and strong computer skills. You will work full time on site with multiple shifts at client sites and receive comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Above-average computer/tech skills.
• Security, law enforcement or military experience is a plus.
• Able to work independently and deliver strong customer service.
• Calm, vigilant and able to handle emergencies.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure environment for employees, customers and visitors.
• Respond to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk.
• Uphold policies, safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Protect sensitive information from unauthorized access.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation as needed.
• Perform access control at security entrances and exits.
• Patrol premises including buildings and parking areas.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems.

Security Control Room Officer — Full Time

Site Location: Hillsboro, OR

Wage: $22.00/HR

Schedules

• Saturday - Tuesday 10pm-6am
• Wednesday - Saturday 6am-2pm
• Flexible / Multiple shifts available at various client sites

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

What Your Day May Look Like

• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, & entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced call center / emergency center environment.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
