Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Consultant II to support customers in Cambridge, MA and beyond. The role focuses on integrating Akamai security solutions, shaping long-term network security strategies, and delivering cloud-based protections to ensure client success.

Responsibilities include evaluating web architecture, applying best practices, and collaborating with the integrated account team to drive secure outcomes. Remote work is allowed from anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Systems, or Information Technology Management, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related technical role.
• Two (2) years of experience in security architecture review, risk assessment, and threat modeling; security automation and DevSecOps; cloud containers and related services; CI/CD; security testing and vulnerability management; runtime protections; API security; and cloud infrastructure such as Azure, GCP, EC2, S3, and Lambda; and languages such as Java, Python, and Shell Scripting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful network integration and support for customers on Akamai platform.
• Implement solutions to help customers leverage Akamai security products to achieve outcomes.
• Develop and deliver long-term network security strategy and cloud solutions.
• Participate in training and projects contributing to best practices and service quality.
