Job summary

Harvard Protection Services is seeking a Security Officer to provide professional customer-focused security and life safety services. You will maintain a visible presence, greet and assist occupants, monitor alarms, and enforce facility policies while performing patrols and documenting incidents.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent.
• Write routine correspondence, to include log entries and incident reporting.
• Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, customer service experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Concierge services and professional demeanor toward customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
• Maintain visible presence in the assigned facility/building.
• Monitor environment and detect suspicious/unsafe activity.
• Familiarize with traffic, customers, tenants, visitors, and guests.
• Greet people professionally and answer phones.
• Permit entry for authorized persons and monitor entrances/exits.
• Enforce facility policies within role limits.
• Perform patrols on foot or by vehicle.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Follow emergency action plans and procedures.
• Monitor alarms and systems and prepare incident reports.
