Job summary

Horizontal Talent seeks a detail-oriented professional to support reliability, security, and compliance for a Transmission Management System environment in a regulated utility setting. You will work across operations, cybersecurity, engineering, and compliance to strengthen controls, improve processes, and maintain documentation.

The role requires 5+ years in a regulated OT or cybersecurity context, with hands-on experience in policy creation, vulnerability management, and audit support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in regulated OT, transmission operations, cybersecurity, or compliance.
• Working knowledge of NERC CIP standards in electric utilities.
• Experience creating and maintaining policies, standards, and plans.
• Understanding of Transmission Management Systems and OT environments.
• Knowledge of access management, vulnerability, patch, and configuration management.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations within the Transmission Management System environment.
• Maintain and improve compliance documentation and evidence repositories.
• Monitor adherence to NERC CIP, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Identify risks, gaps, and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with teams to plan and implement changes securely.
• Assist with vulnerability management, patch coordination, and baseline monitoring.
• Serve as liaison between technical teams, stakeholders, and business partners.
• Help ensure controls remain effective and aligned with requirements.
• Support audits by organizing evidence and documentation.
