Job summary

Snowcap Compute is seeking a Director of Security & Compliance to own NIST SP 800-171 Rev 2, CMMC Level 2 readiness, and related DFARS obligations for a state-of-the-art cryogenic test facility in Florida. You will shape policy, manage SSP/POA&M, and drive risk-informed security across physical and cyber domains.

You will build and lead a team, coordinate with operations, engineering, and legal, and interact with federal law enforcement and the intelligence community.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of senior security leadership, ideally in DIB or federal security with national-scale stakes.
• Direct accountability for NIST 800-171 / DFARS 7012 assessments, SSP/POA&M, SPRS.
• Physical security leadership for sensitive facilities and high-value programs.
• Experience with cross-agency liaison, law enforcement, and threat intel functions.

Responsibilities

• Draft and own SSP, POA&M, and SPRS score for 3PAO readiness.
• Drive control implementation for NIST 800-171 Rev 2 and CMMC L2 readiness.
• Design and operate physical security posture for the Florida facility and future build-out.
• Stand up threat intelligence and incident response capabilities; tabletop exercises.
• Manage ITAR/EAR classification and vendor/supply-chain controls; coordinate with legal.
