Job summary

Securitas, Inc. is seeking a Security Communications Center Officer for the Newark campus. The role involves central monitoring of CCTV, alarms, radio dispatch, and directing on-site security during daily operations.

The candidate will work a Monday–Friday 2:00pm–10:00pm shift and provide strong customer service with vigilance. Applicants should have 2+ years in a command center, plus a valid NJ SORA license (or ability to obtain one) and a clean driver’s record.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in security or command center preferred.
• Active NJ SORA license or ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver's license with clean history.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, radio communications, alarm monitoring, dispatching, and direct security personnel during daily operations.
• Coordinate with shift supervisors to mitigate risk and issue notifications.
• Monitor local and global threat activity and report findings.
• Monitor access control and video solutions for the campus.
• Log and report unusual occurrences; maintain incident records.
• Track traveler status in corporate travel system.

Security Communications Center Officer

Security Officer Command Center

Will need 2 plus years working in a command center position.

Monday to Friday

2:00pm to 10:00pm

$21.45 per hour.

Union Site -

his role requires exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and a strong security presence to ensure the safety of the facility and personnel.

Monitor CCTV – Radio Communications – Alarm Monitoring – Dispatching – Direct Security Personnel during daily operations

including shift supervisors – Risk Mitigation and Notifications – Monitor local and global threat activity and report.

• Monitor access control and video solution for all the Campus
• Report and log any unusual occurrences.
• Monitor and report weather conditions, Social Media activity that may have impact on Business Operations and Employee activity, by use of the Business Continuity SOP process, when necessary. All other reporting shall be done by standard reporting procedures.
• Monitor global events in real time by using various sources and send detailed information to travelers and business partners that could potentially impact Business and Employee activity.
• Monitor and report daily status & location of all travelers registered in corporate travel system.

Position Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift.
• Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Previous security experience highly preferred.
• Active NJ SORA license or the ability to obtain one
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving history
