Job summary

Independent Software, Inc. seeks a System Administrator, Level 1 to provide hands-on support for mission-critical IT systems, ensuring secure, reliable operations and smooth user access.

You will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain infrastructure across servers, storage, networks, and endpoints. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, five years of system admin experience (or more), DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification, and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of System Administrator experience on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Five (5) additional years of System Administrator experience may be substituted for a degree.
• DoD 8570.01-M compliant with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II.
• Active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph; contract award contingent.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Monitor system performance and assist with problem identification and resolution.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support for IT-related issues.
• Assist users with accessing and utilizing IT systems and applications.
• Support day-to-day operations of client/server, storage, network, and mobile devices.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Linux and/or Windows).
• Assist with system configuration, patching, and updates.
• Support escalation and communication of issues to management and stakeholders.
• Maintain system documentation and follow established procedures; optimize performance and resource utilization.
