Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, is hiring a Test Engineer for a 3rd shift onsite role in Andover, MA. The position includes a 12% shift premium and requires collaboration with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Design to ensure test readiness and issue resolution.

The role develops Manufacturing Data Packages and test procedures, partnering with Test Equipment Engineering to improve hardware/software and test capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of prior Test Engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure test readiness and resolve issues.
• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) and test procedures aligned to specs.
• Define and improve test hardware/software with Test Equipment Engineering.
• Support production testing and troubleshoot issues in manufacturing.
• Evaluate non-conforming material and drive RCCA actions.
• Lead cycle-time improvements, ergonomic risk reduction, and cost savings via CORE/data-driven decisions.
