Job summary

ProSync is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, test, and maintain complex software systems, including analytics, real-time data processing, and business management information systems. You will work individually or in a team, review software components, and contribute to design decisions, with a focus on Python, containers, Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud-native practices.

Requires active Top Secret/SCI with Fullscope Polygraph and a BS or higher in CS or related field plus 5 years of software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline, plus five years of software engineering experience.
• Note: Level I requires 7+ years; Level II requires 14+ years according to the ad.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Python, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.

Responsibilities

• Python Application Development - Develop, test, and maintain Python applications supporting mission workflows and backend processing.
• Containerization & Docker - Build, optimize, and troubleshoot Docker-based containers used across development, testing, and production environments.
• Kubernetes Deployment - Deploy, manage, and support applications running in Kubernetes clusters, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Helm Chart Development - Create, maintain, and update Helm charts to support automated Kubernetes deployments and configuration management.
• Cloud-Native Engineering - Apply cloud-native principles to improve application resilience, observability, and maintainability.
• CI/CD Collaboration - Work with DevSecOps teams to integrate Python applications and containerized services into automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization - Diagnose issues across containerized environments, Kubernetes workloads, and Python applications.
• Documentation & Team Support.
