Vantor is seeking a Site Reliability / Operations Engineer to support automated monitoring, metrics collection, and real-time dashboards using the ELK stack in a Linux environment. The role focuses on automation, observability, and supporting critical mission systems, with a path from junior to mid-level engineering.

The ideal candidate has Bash scripting expertise, Linux experience, and a desire to grow in automation and operations within a security-conscious setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 2–5 years in systems engineering, automation, DevOps, or related roles.
• Experience with Linux OS (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automation solutions in Linux environments.
• Create and enhance Bash scripts to automate system administration, log gathering, and metrics displays.
• Develop and maintain job orchestration tools for data flows.
• Design, build, and maintain Kibana dashboards and visualizations.
• Support Elasticsearch data ingestion, indexing, and search optimization.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with admins, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Document automation processes, procedures, and configurations.
• Participate in system testing, deployment, and sustainment activities.
• Support continuous improvement in monitoring, observability, and automation.
