Vantor is seeking an Engineer to support automated monitoring, metrics collection, and real-time dashboards within a mission-focused environment. The ideal candidate will work with Linux-based systems, Bash scripting, and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).

This role suits a junior to mid-level engineer eager to expand automation and observability for national security missions. The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance, a Bachelor's in a related field, and experience in

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Security+ Certification.
• 2-5 years of experience in systems engineering, automation, DevOps, software development or related technical roles.
• Experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar).
• Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and system administration tasks.
• Experience with the ELK Stack: Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automation solutions in Linux environments.
• Create and enhance Bash scripts to automate system administration, application log gathering, metrics displays.
• Develop and maintain job orchestration tools for data flows
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Kibana.
• Support Elasticsearch data ingestion, indexing, and search optimization activities.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with system administrators, developers, and mission stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Assist with log analysis, troubleshooting, and operational reporting.
• Document automation processes, procedures, and technical configurations.
• Participate in system testing, deployment, and sustainment activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to monitoring, observability, and automation.
