Vantor Inc. seeks a Senior Data Scientist for an on-site Reston, VA role. You will develop scalable data solutions, deliver insights to government stakeholders, and advance LLM-driven workflows in a mission-driven environment.

Role demands autonomy, deep data expertise, and ability to communicate findings clearly. You will mentor juniors, partner with engineering, and help shape data-centric decision support for national security objectives.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI polygraph.
• 10 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
• Master's degree or equivalent with 2 extra years of experience accepted.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and ML libraries.
• Ability to independently manage full-cycle data projects from processing to reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with LLM/NLP concepts and GPT-like applications for automation.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and deliver actionable insights.
• Experience deploying graph databases in production.

Responsibilities

• Automate and optimize data extraction, cleaning, processing, and analysis with scripts and ETL pipelines.
• Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data using Spark, Hadoop, or cloud-native tools.
• Lead end-to-end data science workflows from hypotheses to delivery of insights.
• Explore integration of graphs, ML, and LLMs to expand capabilities.
• Document methodologies and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Design and deploy LLM-driven tools to summarize, tag, and retrieve internal data.
• Collaborate with engineering to operationalize ML models in production.
