Job summary

ASD is seeking a Production Controller to support our manufacturing planning and production control team on-site at the Oxnard, CA facility. This role focuses on material requirements, inventory optimization, and ERP-driven processes to ensure timely production and shipment.

Responsibilities include managing cycle counts, coordinating with production, quality, and purchasing, expediting materials, packing and shipping with UPS/FedEx, and maintaining traceability and 5S improvements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Deltek Costpoint
• Ability to operate forklift and perform inventory tasks
• Proficient with Microsoft applications

Responsibilities

• Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for manufacture
• Optimize inventory storage systems
• Interface with production, quality, purchasing and other departments
• Research kit shortages, expedite missing kits, and ensure proper kit integration
• Ensure inventory processes comply with quality standards and procedures
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist in meeting production and shipping schedules
• Pack and ship outgoing orders via UPS, FedEx and other carriers
• Receive and transact all incoming material in the MRP system; conduct cycle counts
• Expedite flow of materials and coordinate between departments
