Job summary

Redhorse Corporation is seeking a Principal Software Architect to provide architectural oversight and lead the development of advanced applications for mission-critical government solutions.

You will guide architectural vision, evaluate approaches, and drive technical capture efforts to win new business, while collaborating with distributed teams and customer experts to deliver secure, scalable software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 12+ years of relevant experience; Master’s degree with 10+ years acceptable.
• Proven authority in designing and developing highly advanced software applications.
• Experience leading technical capture efforts and capability briefings.
• Strong proficiency in architectural modeling and interface specification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• Independent worker capable of solving unusually complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural oversight for the development of new or enhanced products.
• Articulate a clear architectural vision and evaluate approaches through experimentation.
• Create architectural models, component specifications, and interface docs.
• Validate architecture against complex requirements and assumptions.
• Collaborate with product teams to deliver software with required features.
• Lead efforts to capture new business via proofs of concept and briefings.
• Offer high-level technical advice across the organization.
• Integrate complex components from distributed development teams.
• Lead planning analysts for technical research and user-group support.
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy on complex projects.
