Job summary

Redhorse Corporation is seeking a Software Architect to serve as a recognized authority for our most complex initiatives. You will oversee big-picture architecture, lead cross-functional teams, and shape innovative, reliable solutions for federal missions.

The role requires translating high-level requirements into executable specifications, mentoring engineers, and coordinating with product teams to ensure seamless feature integration across distributed development efforts.

Qualifications

Minimum 8–10+ years of relevant experience in software architecture or equivalent.
Demonstrated authority on complex software problems and enterprise architectures.
Experience translating mission requirements into technical specs and roadmaps.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

Articulate and champion the architectural vision for new and enhanced software products.
Conceptualize and experiment with alternative architectural approaches for complex missions.
Create comprehensive models, component specifications, and interface documentation.
Validate proposed architectures against rigorous requirements and assumptions.
Collaborate with product developers, managers, and customer experts to integrate features.
Provide expert technical advice across departments within the organization.
Integrate complex components built by distributed product teams.
Lead and mentor teams of planning analysts and developers.
Determine and pursue independent courses of action with wide latitude for judgment.
