Job summary

VTG seeks an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) SME to develop comprehensive manuals, SOPs, and reference materials for complex systems. You will learn system functionality through training and collaboration with engineers, operators, and vendors, translating technical data into accessible documentation.

You will travel CONUS/OCONUS as needed, supporting system demonstrations, tests, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
• Experience developing technical documentation, operations manuals, or SOPs for complex systems
• Strong technical writing skills to translate complex information into clear docs
• Willingness to travel CONUS/OCONUS as required

Responsibilities

• Attend formal training and vendor briefings to gain in-depth knowledge of assigned systems
• Observe system operations and maintenance activities to understand functionality and sustainment needs
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operators to gather technical information
• Develop O&M manuals, SOPs, and reference materials
• Document procedures, maintenance requirements, troubleshooting steps, and safety considerations
• Maintain version control and update docs as systems evolve
• Coordinate with vendors and government personnel to validate information
• Travel CONUS and OCONUS as required for training and field observations
