Job summary

VT Group (VTG) seeks an O&M SME to translate complex system knowledge into clear operations and maintenance manuals and reference materials. You will learn system functionality, collaborate with engineers and vendors, and produce structured documentation for operational users and maintenance personnel.

The role requires travel (CONUS and OCONUS) to observe operations, attend training, and coordinate with government personnel.

Qualifications

Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Experience developing technical documentation, operations manuals, or SOPs for complex systems.
Ability to learn and understand specialized technical systems through training and hands-on observation.
Strong technical writing skills with the ability to translate complex technical information into user-friendly documentation.
Experience coordinating with engineers, vendors, and technical personnel to gather and validate information.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Willingness and ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS as required.

Responsibilities

Attend formal training and vendor instruction to develop in-depth knowledge of assigned systems.
Observe system operations, maintenance activities and workflows to understand functionality and sustainment.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operators to gather technical information and best practices.
Develop O&M manuals, SOPs, and technical documentation for systems.
Document system functionality, procedures, maintenance requirements, troubleshooting steps, and safety considerations.
Maintain version control and update documentation as systems evolve.
