Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Network Engineer for AI Infrastructure (STARSHIELD) in Hawthorne, CA. You will lead the design, deployment, and security of the Starshield data-center network supporting national security missions and AI clusters at scale.

You’ll collaborate with ML teams and hardware engineers to optimize interconnect topology, build automation, and ensure reliable operations. A Top Secret clearance is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of networking experience in enterprise or cloud environments.
• 1+ year of hands-on networking deployment experience with routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Layer-1 experience including transport, DWDM, optical fiber, troubleshoot activations.
• Experience deploying networking hardware in data center or GPU cluster environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage network infrastructure and deployments to Top Secret data centers.
• Design, validate, and productize high-speed connectivity for AI clusters (100k+ GPU scale).
• Collaborate with ML teams to map workload patterns to interconnect topology.
• Contribute to rapid deployment tools and automation (ZTP, provisioning).
• Improve network performance and reliability using metrics, capacity planning, and remediation.
• Lead network integration and troubleshooting efforts.
