Job summary

Redhorse Corporation is seeking a Graph Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the Enterprise Semantic Map—the ontology-grounded metadata graph. You will lead automation-first data discovery, ingest metadata, and connect data assets to mission metadata for trusted, searchable enterprise insights.

You will architect graph structures, enable agent-driven workflows, and collaborate with graph, data, and engineering teams to ensure provenance and governance across the data landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Active TS SCI clearance.
• Programming and scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Java)
• Relational database querying (SQL)
• Graph query languages (Cypher, SPARQL)
• Knowledge graph concepts and metadata schemas
• Data engineering experience with production data pipelines
• Enterprise graph database experience
• APIs integration across cloud and on-prem environments
• Systems-thinking mindset
• Attention to detail
• Communication with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Automate source discovery and metadata ingestion pipelines across legacy, cloud, and distributed environments.
• Scale the semantic map with automated pipelines and orchestration workflows.
• Define provenance capture at data ingestion to enable automated lineage.
• Align data elements to ontologies and maintain provenance and lineage mappings.
• Support graph querying, validation, and reusable patterns for the team.
• Mentor junior engineers in graph modeling and pipeline development.
