Job summary

Redhorse Corporation is seeking a Graph Data Engineer to design and maintain the Enterprise Semantic Map—an ontology-driven metadata graph. You will architect data and API integrations, configure graph structures, and build workflows that catalog data sources across the enterprise for discovery, trust, and dynamic composition by analysts and AI agents.

You will partner with graph, data, and engineering teams, ensure governance, and mentor junior engineers while supporting mission-critical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of relevant professional experience or equivalent.
• Active TS SCI Clearance.
• Proficient in Python, Java or similar for automation.
• Experience with SQL and data formats (JSON, XML, YAML).
• Experience with graph databases, graph queries (Cypher, SPARQL).
• Knowledge of data lineage and metadata standards.
• Experience with ETL pipelines, API integrations.
• Ability to reason about enterprise architecture and systems-thinking.

Responsibilities

• Automated Source Discovery & Metadata Ingestion (Technical Metadata).
• Design, build, and deploy automated pipelines that programmatically discover enterprise data assets and interface with existing data catalogs.
• Scale the Semantic Map with automated pipelines and workflows.
• Define and implement provenance entry points for data ingestion.
• Lead Ontology alignment and semantic mapping to Enterprise Core Ontology and Domain Ontologies.
• Design and maintain data lineage chains in the Provenance Layer.
• Write, optimize, and review graph queries for metadata retrieval and validation.
• Mentor junior engineers in graph modeling and pipeline development.
• Document schema decisions, runbooks, and technical positions for stakeholders.
