Avalore, LLC is seeking a Database Engineer to manage and optimize our database systems for WDP data storage infrastructure. The role involves designing schemas, implementing backups, and ensuring performance and reliability across data pipelines.

You will collaborate with data engineers to integrate databases into pipelines and maintain security, monitoring, and high availability. Authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 0–3 years for Junior, 4–7 years for Journeyman, 8+ years for Senior.
• Excellent communication skills and English proficiency.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize database systems for data storage infrastructure.
• Design and implement database schemas and structures.
• Establish backup and recovery procedures.
• Optimize performance via indexing, query optimization, and tuning.
• Implement security controls and access management.
• Monitor health and resource utilization; troubleshoot issues.
• Automate routine database administration tasks.
• Support capacity planning, HA/DR, and upgrades.
