Job summary

Capital Solutions Group seeks a Data Scientist (levels 2–4) to apply statistical, mathematical, and computational techniques on large datasets at Ft. Meade, MD. The role requires TS/SCI with polygraphs and agile collaboration with mission owners to translate needs into technical requirements.

Responsibilities include developing quantitative methods, modeling, and communicating complex findings to non-technical stakeholders, while evaluating best technical solutions in a shifting data landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with applicable years of experience.
• Associates degree with substantial relevant experience accepted for higher levels.
• Experience in data science methods and analytical reasoning required.

Responsibilities

• Use data, statistical/mathematical / computer science methods to reach defensible conclusions.
• Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative methods for characterizing, exploring, and assessing large datasets in various states of organization, cleanliness, and structure.
• Translate practical mission needs and analytic questions related to large datasets into technical requirements.
• Translate insights to non-technical audiences and communicate complex technical information clearly.
• Make informed recommendations regarding competing technical solutions by considering evolving data capabilities and limitations.
