Job summary

Potawatomi Defense Operations, LLC seeks a Superintendent I to oversee day-to-day field operations on Ft. Benning, GA. You will manage field activities, ensure milestones are met, and coordinate safety, quality, and schedule adherence in line with contract documents.

The role requires an AS degree in Construction Management or related field and progress in supervising construction; journeyman status with substantial experience is preferred. Must ensure compliance and client coordination.

Qualifications

• AS degree in Construction Management or similar field with 4-7 years of related experience.
• Journeyman status in a building trade with 10+ years of progressive supervision.
• Minimum 4 years in construction with commercial/institutional general contractor.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day field activities to ensure that milestone dates and overall schedule are met.
• Creating short-interval look-ahead project schedules to communicate and track upcoming events.
• Establishing and maintaining safety, health and cleanliness culture on site.
• Coordinating work to ensure construction aligns with contract documents and best-practice standards.
• Maintaining dimensional controls and using survey/layout personnel when appropriate.
• Ensuring work is installed in a workmanlike manner (plumb, level, straight).
• Managing two-week look-ahead to identify issues and facilitate solutions.
• Obtaining inspections and documenting quality aspects of the work.
• Ensuring compliance with contract terms and legal requirements of the project.
