Job summary

Potawatomi Defense Operations, LLC is seeking a Quality Control Systems Manager at Fort Benning, GA to define, inspect, and document daily work for ongoing construction and environmental projects. You will ensure adherence to minimum standards and project scope while supporting the corporate QC program and project manager.

The role requires strong knowledge of construction means and methods, plus oversight of all QC personnel and contractors.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree and 15 years of experience or 20 years of relevant construction experience in lieu of education requirements.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor engaged in governmental and/or institutional construction.
• A demonstrated understanding of construction means and methods associated with commercial and institutional buildings and site work related thereto.
• A working knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical work.
• High level of proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and other software used in the construction industry.
• Current safety credentials include OSHA 30, 1st Aid, and CPR.
• The successful candidate must have the current USACE CQM Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Define, inspect, and document daily work to ensure standards and scope of work are met.
• Provide management and oversight of all contractors regarding quality control.
• Train and verify QC personnel training, documents, and inspections/acceptance of work.
• Draft and review project plans, procedures, and manuals; distribute updates.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with drawings and specifications.
• Chair and document weekly site QC meetings and prepare minutes.
• Maintain project as-built drawings and quality control reports.
• Document final inspections, occupancy certificates, and acceptance of work.
