Job summary

KBR’s National Security Solutions team seeks a Configuration Management Specialist to join our El Segundo, CA team. You will draft and manage CM plans, ensure proper control of system changes, and support government review boards in a high-stakes defense environment.

This role requires a Secret clearance, 5+ years in CM, DoD standards knowledge, and strong communication skills. On-site work with 10% travel and opportunity to influence national security programs.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• 5 years of CM experience with mature CM practices.
• Experience executing change control and facilitating engineering review boards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interfacing.
• Knowledge of DoD-5010-12-M and MIL-HDBK-61.
• Experience defining and implementing CM processes.

Responsibilities

• Draft, implement, endorse and promulgate CM leadership's direction and vision.
• Ensure changes are identified, documented, controlled and audited.
• Develop/Manage Division-level CMPs.
• Conduct CM training on processes and tools.
• Coordinate to integrate Division-level CMPs.
• Support government ERB and CCB processes.
• Develop baseline products and change-tracking artifacts.
• Organize system configurations with PMs and lead engineers.
• Assist chief engineer with planning FCA/PCA.
• Maintain Program technical baselines.
