Qualifications

• Good communication for obtaining information to continue clearance actions.
• Attention to detail to avoid clearance-processing errors.
• Ability to understand and work with office filing systems.
• Ability to attest to priorities and work within deadlines.
• Judgment within scope of responsibilities; limited decision-making allowed.
• Ability to annotate files professionally and forward necessary information.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants, obtain references, and recommend placement.
• Handle employee-sensitive information tactfully and discreetly.
• Identify potential issues and support grievance procedures.
• Recommend job classifications, wage rates, and salaries.
• Heavy use of office software and databases for reporting.
• Perform clerical tasks as needed.
• Maintain workload status and report to management.
• Document clearance actions in databases.
• Obtain information for clearance actions via phone or email.
• Communicate with applicants, officials, contractors, and security personnel.
• Process files in priority order.
• Retrieve files from vault storage.
• Screen information to determine required actions and forwarding.
