Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in San Diego seeks an experienced Security Leader to oversee daily park security operations, supervise a diverse team, and coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement. You will manage safety initiatives, training programs, and incident response to protect guests, employees, animals, and assets.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent military, law enforcement or security experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory/management experience in Security or related field.
• Experience in Loss Prevention, training, investigative procedures and court system preferred.
• Valid State Driver's License with driving record meeting policy.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification; state licenses and certifications required.
• OC Spray and Handcuff training; park certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal ordinances related to security.
• Experience in training security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire Security Team in daily park operations and during events.
• Balance security with safety, medical response, fire prevention and incident management.
• Develop and implement security training programs.
• Ensure adherence to park policies and protect guests, employees, assets and animals.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement; document and retain records.
• Respond to significant incidents and provide leadership to meet guest and employee needs.
• Maintain safe work habits and professional conduct with team and guests.
