ITG Larson, based in White Plains, NY, is seeking a Security CAD Designer to join our team. You’ll translate client needs into detailed CAD drawings for access control and CCTV systems, collaborating with sales, operations, and field teams to deliver engineered solutions.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of experience in designing access control or CCTV systems, proficient CAD skills (AutoCAD, Revit), and a solid understanding of low-voltage wiring and network connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Create system flow diagrams, submittals, product specifications, and bills of materials.
• Support project teams with technical details, design reviews, and change requests.
• Ensure designs meet codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Stay up to date on new technologies, products, and integration possibilities.
• Provide field support during installation/commissioning as needed.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Security CAD Designer to join our team in White Plains, NY and help design cutting-edge physical security systems—including access control and CCTV/video surveillance. You’ll work closely with sales, operations, and field teams to translate client needs into detailed CAD drawings, technical documentation, and engineered solutions. This role is hands‑on, fast‑paced, and ideal for someone who loves solving problems and creating designs that come to life in the field.

What You’ll Do

• Develop CAD drawings: security device layouts, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, conduit paths.
• Create system flow diagrams, submittals, product specifications, and bills of materials.

What We’re Looking For

• 1+ year of experience designing access control or CCTV systems.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
• Solid understanding of low-voltage wiring, device hardware, and network connectivity (IP cameras, access controllers, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have (but not required)

• Vendor certifications (Lenel, Genetec, Axis, Milestone, etc.) or industry certifications (PSP, CPP, BICSI).
• Experience with integrated security systems (intrusion, fire, life safety).
• Basic networking knowledge (IP, VLANs, PoE).
