Job summary

Lakeville Area Schools is seeking a Security/Building Support staff member at Lakeville South High School. The position runs 7.50 hours per day (37.50 per week) for 174 days a year, with start and end times 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The role includes enforcing building security, monitoring students, assisting with study halls, and performing clerical tasks under the Principal’s direction. Salary ranges from $19.85 to $24.05 per hour, with benefits per the LEAF agreement.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• PC & Mac Knowledge.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and be proficient with Excel; Word; PowerPoint.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, noisy environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication, proofreading and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Performs general clerical duties and record-keeping tasks as requested by the Principal.

Position Summary:

The Security/Building Support staff assists administrators by enforcing the security of the building and personnel, monitors student behavior in school, hallways and parking lots and assists with study halls, in-school suspension, and detention. Collaborates with other team members/staff and works well with high school students. This position is also responsible for all attendance procedures in the building by working directly and indirectly with students, staff, and parents while building and maintaining relationships modeling the PantherWay. This position also supports the staff and administration with all copying needs.

Position Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• PC & Mac Knowledge.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and be proficient with the following programs: Excel; Word; and Powerpoint.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, noisy environment.

Salary and benefits in accord with the Agreement with the Lakeville Educational Assistants Federation. Position classified LEAF B-2-1, starting salary $19.85- $24.05per hour depending on experience
